Kanha Wildlife Resorts - Kipling Camp
Kipling Camp
Kipling Camp was established in 1982 on the edge of Kanha Tiger Reserve in Central India. The camp is open to naturalists, conservationists and those who wish to relax in idyllic surroundings. It is also the home of TARA, the much-loved elephant who starred in Mark Shand's best selling epic "My Travels on an Elephant". Kipling Camp is a simple and comfortable Resort with an excellent cuisine. Facilities:
There are many comfortable areas to sit and unwind around camp. Our well equipped library - which offers an abundance of wildlife and esearch books, and novels - provides the perfect excuse to relax in a hammock. For the more active, there is a volleyball court, which comes 'alive' every afternoon. Laundry, which is collected from the rooms, is delivered the same or next day. There is a safe in the office for clients who wish to hand in valuables. The water filter system at camp ensures that all drinking water and ice is perfectly safe. Kipling Camp is on mains electricity, backed up by two large generators. There is a souvenir shop selling various clothing items, post cards, books and stickers. We also sell professional tiger photographs. Various wildlife documentaries, including 'Land of the Tiger' and other films made in Kanha, are screened in the evenings. The camp has three open-topped 4WD Maruti Gypsies for safari drives. These are equipped with first-aid kits
